Herbal Bath Soaks are surprisingly effective ways to tame both tension and pain. They take just a small amount of time to make and yet can melt away the worries of the day in only a few minutes. Those that know their secrets, use them regularly. Those that haven’t tried yet, quickly become fans after one try.
The base for this formula is good, old fashioned Epsom salts (magnesium sulfate). These were introduced commercially using the name of a famous mineral spring in Epsom, England known for its healing properties. Magnesium is an important nutrient that is lacking in adequate supplies in many people’s lives. Combined with the healing touch of herbs and you have a sure bet for relaxation.
For best use in the bath, add 1/2Â to 1 cup of bath soaks directly to the bath water as the tub is filling. Stir the water with your hand to thoroughly mix the formula before stepping into the bath.
For best use in the foot bath, add 1/8 or 1/4 cup of bath soaks to the foot basin before adding the water. Test the water with your hand before putting your foot in. Remember that people’s feet are not the best tools to test temperature especially if there is any neuropathy.
