First aid is vital to the survival of our species. Our guest, 7Song, herbalist at the Ithaca Free Clinic and education specialist at the Northeast School of Botanical Medicine has been leading the way in the herbal first aid movement. Although herbalists have been first responders in emergency situations since civilization begun, the newest resurgence in herbalists serving side by side with EMTs in large scale festival first aid tents has largely been due to 7Song’s work. He has published protocols for public consumption on herbal first aid and the results are revolutionary. In this interview, 7Song shares how he has been working with the public to do responsible herbal first aid. He answers some of most common questions that herbalists want to know about stepping into the care giving role in first aid situations. He gives list of the botanical medicine that he relies on for a healthy backbone for his travel kits as he shares his ground breaking work with the world.

- 1 tsp glycerine
- 2 tsp sea salt
- 2 cups warm water
