Dawn Lacska-Tommerdahl is a master herbalist, aromatherapist, and registered nurse that has been using herbs and aromatherapy to heal people since 1994. Dawns studies in herbalism began as a child, when her grandmother taught her how to dye objects and create simple medicines with local Native American plants. Dawn continued her learning from herbal greats such as: Rosemary Gladstar, Susan Weed, Candis Cantin, Phyllis Light, Dennis Anderson, Dottie Running Horse, Paul Red Elk, Lise Wolf, and did a two-year apprenticeship with Matthew Wood. Dawn graduated from the College of St. Catherine in St. Paul, MN. In 1999 with a Bachelors of Science degree in nursing and is currently working in that field integrating holistic medicine into allopathic settings.

Dawn has been a featured as a monthly columnist for several wellness and spiritual magazines over the last 20 years and has been featured as an herbal and/or aromatherapy expert in several Magazine articles, radio shows, and currently teaches online with classes offered at Dawnsenchantedgarden.com and at the Matthew Wood Institute of Herbalism.

Dawn has written a spiritual herb book called “ The Enchanted Garden: a Spiritual Herbal” found on Amazon.com and is in the process of writing a second herbal books on incense making.

Dawn lectures locally, nationally and internationally at spiritual and holistic healing festivals, wellness clinics and hospitals. Her lectures focus not only on healing with herbs, aromatherapy, or nutrition but also focus on the integration of modern and holistic medicine as a way to treat the body, mind, and spirit.
