This blend is straight out of the Wave-o’s Dog Food recipe, created by David Howell who kindly offered to share his easy, economical raw dog food recipe with the world. It’s a good blend that could be added to virtually any dog food recipe for extra B vitamins, trace minerals, and general support for building healthy cells. Plus, most dogs love the flavor of both kelp granules and nutritional yeast.
Ingredients
- 1 cup kelp granules
- 2 cups soy lecithin
- 3 cups nutritional yeast
Equipment
- Measuring cup
- Mixing bowl
- Spoon for mixing
- Glass container with lid or other sealable, non-reactive container
- Label and pen
Procedure
- Measure all the ingredients into a mixing bowl.
- Mix the ingredients well.
- Pour the mixture into the glass container.
- Seal and label the container.
Storage and Use
Store Wave-o’s Healthy Powder in a cool, dark place, like the refrigerator.
Add Wave-o’s Healthy Powder to your dog’s diet as makes sense. Any age dog can benefit from this blend. Sprinkle it on your dog’s food or, if you make your own dog food, add it to the recipe. For reference, a healthy portion is approximately 1.5 teaspoons for every 25 pounds of dog weight. So, if your dog weighs about 50 pounds, you can feed him or her 1 tablespoon per day.
