Herbalist Howie Brounstein discusses the changing view of asthma over the last couple of centuries. He refers to the description of the disease by early teachers of from the Eclectic School from 1800s. The Industrial Revolution made a marketable difference on respiratory disease. Howie compares the treatments described by the Thompsonian herbalists to modern approaches to asthma treatment.[
